Social media phenomenon and former kickboxer Andrew Tate and his brother Tristan Tate have been detained by Romanian police. It was stated that the Tate brothers were accused of rape as well as human trafficking.
Greta Thunberg, a prominent climate activist, responded angrily to notorious influencer Andrew Tate’s attempt to brag about his carbon dioxide-emitting vehicles.
Tate, a self-described “success coach” whose online reputation has drawn criticism for having a sexist brand, posted a picture of himself with a car on Tuesday. He wrote: “Please offer your email address so I can submit a detailed inventory of my automobile collection and their corresponding massive emissions,” tagging Thunberg in the message.
Thunberg, who is renowned for her direct, no-nonsense speaking style, responded with a joke on Wednesday.
Hello @GretaThunberg
I have 33 cars.
My Bugatti has a w16 8.0L quad turbo.
My TWO Ferrari 812 competizione have 6.5L v12s.
This is just the start.
Please provide your email address so I can send a complete list of my car collection and their respective enormous emissions. pic.twitter.com/ehhOBDQyYU

Tate recently topped Google’s 2022 most-searched list in the “who is …” question category. He has been active in far-right circles for years, but he began gaining mainstream attention this year after clips from his appearances on multiple podcast episodes and Twitch streams went viral.
He has gained notoriety largely as a result of his extreme statements, which include comparing women to property, graphically describing how he would attack a woman for accusing him of cheating, and asserting that men prefer to date women in their mid-20s over younger women because the latter would have experienced less sex with more men.
In a statement provided to NBC News in August, Tate pushed back against the claim that he’s misogynistic, saying he has created “many videos praising women” and that he encourages his audience to avoid “toxic men.”
