City of Rocks National Reserve

City of Rocks
Entrance Fee: There is no fee to visit City of Rocks

Reservations: Campsite and facility reservations can be made up to 9 months in advance.

Outside of reservation seasons all camping is first-come first-served.

Castle Rocks State Park

Entrance Fee: All vehicles are required to pay a $7 per day Motor Vehicle Entry Fee or display an Idaho State Parks Passport or Annual Pass on the windshield of the vehicle.

Picnic Shelter: $10 per day, $25 reservation fee.

Archery Course: $3 per person

City of Rocks National Reserve
Sites 1-57, April 15 – October 31
All sites, May 1 – October 31

Smoky Mountain Campground, Castle Rocks State Park
April 15 – October 31
Water available May 1 – Semptember 30 depending on conditions.

Rates & Fees

Standard Campsite: $14 per night
Group Campsite: $3 per person
12 person minimum ($36 minimum)
Reservation Fee: $10

Smoky Mountain Campground

Idaho Resident: $28 per night
Non-Idaho Resident: $31 per night

All vehicles are required to pay a $7 per day Motor Vehicle Entry Fee or display an Idaho State Parks Passport or Annual Pass on the windshield of the vehicle.

The Lodge:
Idaho Resident $195 per night
Non-Idaho Resident $215 per night
Reservation Fee: $10

The Bunkhouse:
Idaho Resident $120 per night
Non-Idaho Resident $132 per night
Reservation Fee: $10

Willow Glamping Yurt:
Idaho Resident $150 per night
Non-Idaho Resident $155 per night
Reservation Fee: $10

Picnic Shelter:
$10 per day
$25 Reservation Fee

Group & Special Use Permits

Some activities in the Reserve require a special permit, such as groups of 25 or more people assembled, commercial film/photography, operating as a guide/outfitter, and conducting research. For these activities or other requests, contact the Park Superintendent at (+1 208-824-5901)
